Project : portraits

This Project is about documenting everyone who is happy to be involved with my work, whether it be a friend/family member or a complete stranger. 

Ever since I started photography I loved taking environmental portraits and actually based a lot of my university work around this type of photography, creating my own style with it and niche.

Project Tiki –

For my Final Major Project, I shot a skate fashion editorial at Tiki, a store rooted in surf/skate culture. The goal was to capture the authenticity of skate fashion, staying true to its effortless style and real-world appeal.

Using dynamic poses and mounted flash lighting, the shoot emphasized how the clothing moves while incorporating the store’s urban aesthetic. This project also ties into location-based shoots focused on skating, highlighting the connection between fashion, movement, and the spaces that define the culture.

In Focus –

For my Final Major Project, In Focus explores the connection between friendship and photography, capturing candid and natural moments shared between friends. The aim was to highlight authenticity, emotion, and the unique dynamics within each relationship.

Using a mix of spontaneous and composed shots, along with soft natural lighting, the project focuses on genuine expressions and unfiltered interactions. By photographing in familiar, everyday settings, In Focus creates a visual narrative that feels personal and relatable, emphasizing the comfort and trust between friends.
